Reading Test Reflection

FRIDAY 17TH NOVEMBER 2017

 For this week I did the E - aTTLE Reading Test / PAT Reading Test

      WHAT I DID WELL:

  • I did well by reading and understanding the story
  • I did well by reading quietly 
  • I did well well by doing the test quietly

       WHAT I DIDN'T DO WELL:
  • What I didn't do well was that I rushed the test
  • What I didn't do well was that I guessed some of the questions
  • What I didn't do well was that I didn't try my hardest

       MY NEXT STEPS

  • Try more harder
  • Don't rush the test
  • Focus more on the test then talking to my friends 




MATHS TEST RELFECTION

MY MATHS TEST:
For this week I did the E-asTTle test / PAT Test.

       WHAT I DID WELL:
  • I did well by understanding some of the questions in the test
  • I did well by trying my best 
  • I did well by not giving up on hard questions


    WHAT I DIDN'T DO WELL:
  • What didn't go well was that I didn't try hard on some questions
  • What didn't go well was that I guessed some questions instead of trying my best
  • What didn't go well was that I wasn't focused on some of the questions

    MY NEXT STEPS:
  • Try harder on my test
  • Don't guess or rush
  • Try my best on all questions

FRIDAY 10TH NOVEMBER  2017
For this week I did the PAT maths test. I found the test challenging a bit hard and easy. The hard part was that the questions were confusing for me to understand, and the easy part was that some of the questions were simple for me to understand. So my next step is that when a question is confusing try and understand what it means.

WALT: Continuing And Describing More Number Patterns. For maths I did the missing number patterns.

What I did well: 
  • I did well by understanding the missing numbers
  • I did well by getting the missing numbers right

    What didn't go well
  • What didn't go so well was that I didn't understand some of it
  • What didn't go so well was that the missing numbers were hard to understand.

    Whats my next step:
  • My next step is to try harder 
  • My next step is to do better

There are 4 type of questions we may ask or be asked, they are:- Right there- Think and search- Author and me- On my own


WALT understand the range of questions we can ask

SC:
  • Read the text
  • Read the questions
  • Discuss what type of question each is
  • Categorise questions

For reading me and my group read this book called Sally and the Cheese.
I did very good understanding the book and putting the words from the text in the paper.
The thing that was challenging for me was the Categorise questions.
And my next step to do better is to understand what something means or just ask for help.

WALT: Continuing and describing number patterns

So what I did for maths was that I had to find out what the missing number where the smiley faces are and figure out which number goes with those other numbers. So the first one is 3x and the others are 5x,2x,2x,3x,10x,10x,10x,2x.

Task 15

WALT: Convert measurements between volume units

   S.C:
- Identify the unit of measurement

- Use the conversion table
- Multiply or divide the number by 1000

         
What I did well


  • What I did well was that some the question were easy
  • What I did well was that I got 7/10 right

    What didn't go well
  • What didn't go well was that the some of the questions were hard to understand
  • What didn't go well was that I got 7/10 which means I need to try more harder

    What are my next steps
  • Try more harder and get 10/10 and try and understand the questions

Buddy Reading With Spurs

  • I did well by reading to my buddy well and in time.
  • I did well by reading to my buddy in a good paste.
  • I did well by reading the words clear so my buddy can hear what i'm saying.

    What didn't go well.
  • What didn't go well was that I didn't understand some of the words.
  • What didn't go well was that I couldn't pronounce some words right.

    What are my next steps
  • Try more harder and understand the words that I don't know

  • I did well by learning what grams are
  • I did well by identifying the object

    What didn't go well
  • What didn't go well was that I got 3 wrong
  • What didn't go well was that I didn't understand the question at first
  • What didn't go well was that I didn't do that much


    What are my next steps
  •  Try more harder and understand the question properly and try and get all of them right next time

For today's reading I had to go on Kiwi Kids news and find a article for me so I can summarise it.

  • What I did well for reading was to summarise the article that I was reading and know what its about.

  • What didn't go well was that the article didn't have that much information.

  • Next step:
  • Find more articles that are good to read and have more information.

  • What didn't go so well was that the questions were a bit confusing. ( Which was finding the mean )

Reading Blog

This week for reading I did "English Skills" for 2 days(Monday, And Tuesday) and for Wednesday I did read into the book and what went so well was that I was getting better at Inferring and figuring out clues in the text. And what didn't go so well is that I couldn't understand the Synthesizing and it got me a bit confused.

Maths Blog

This week for maths I did mostly Manga high for 3 days (Monday,Tuesday, And Wednesday)
So on Friday I did a worksheet.....
One of the things that I found challenging was Ordering decimals. Maybe in my spare time I could practise trying to order decimals.

In this week I learned about Finding fraction numbers, and Shapes. So what I learned about learning new shapes was finding out which one is which, and also how many sides the shape has. The End
